Semester preparatory course (Intensive)
Designed for:
Candidates who already have the basics (B1) and just need to “finish” their knowledge for the exam.
Target:
B1 ➔ B2 (Accelerated preparation for entrance exams).

- 300 hours of intensive teaching.
- 1 semester (February – May) – evenings and weekends
- B2 state exam fee included

How the language of higher education works (15 h)
The difference between ordinary and academic Czech, the structure of the explanation, key words.

Understanding lectures and seminars (20 h)
Structure of the presentation, working with notes, recognizing essential information.

Language of assignments, tests and exams (25 h)
Typical wording of exam questions, structure of answers, work with assignments.
4.
Working with professional texts (20 h)
Reading scripts, articles, working with the main idea, comprehension strategies.
5.
Academic Communication (10 hours)
Communication at the seminar, emails to teachers, consultations.
6.
Active academic production (20 h)
Development of active use of academic Czech. Formulation of answers orally and in writing, structured expression of ideas, responses to supplementary questions (simulation of oral exams).
7.
Decision-making module – where to go next (10 h)
Evaluation of the study situation, the possibility of continuing studies or transitioning to professional retraining.
