Description
About the Program and the Instructor
This program is designed as a week-long immersion into English through the world of art and creativity. Children will not just passively receive the language but will actively use it while exploring various artistic techniques – from painting and collage to graphic methods like linocut or drypoint. The goal is for them to build confidence in communication in a creative and supportive environment and to take away not only beautiful works of art but also the joy of using English.
The program will be led by instructor Karolína Hejlová. Karolína is an enthusiastic educator who believes that imagination and creativity are the best way to learn. Her approach focuses on individual support for each child and on creating a safe space where children can freely experiment, develop their talents, and naturally break down language barriers.
Age Categories
6–15 years (the program is adapted and divided into groups: 6–8 years, 9–12 years, and 13–15 years)

ICJ Campus, Zábrdovická 801/11b, Brno (the program also includes themed trips and excursions around the city)
Program
The program is thematically divided so that each age group works on tasks that match their abilities and interests, while everyone meets for joint activities.
Sample Weekly Structure:
•Monday: Get to know yourself and others
We will get to know each other through art. Younger children will create self-portraits using monotype, while older ones will tackle the drypoint technique and explore how to capture character.
•Tuesday: Creative Stories
A day dedicated to storytelling. The 10–12 age group will create their own comics and stories in English. Younger children will focus on collages, and older ones will experiment with linocut.
•Wednesday: Inspiration in the City
We will go on a themed trip (e.g., the House of Arts) and to a park (Lužánky), where we will draw en plein air and gather inspiration for further creation.
•Thursday: Playing with Colors
We will explore color theory and try various techniques like batik or screen printing. The day will be full of experiments and discovering new combinations.
•Friday: Our Grand Exhibition
We will end the week with a joint exhibition of the works created. Each artist will present their work, we will share our experiences, and we will hand out well-deserved diplomas.
Important Information
•Price: 2,500 CZK / week / child.
•The price includes: English instruction, all teaching materials, program activities, trips, supervision by coordinators, and drinks.
•The price does not include: Meals and public transport tickets.
•Meals: It is possible to purchase lunches for 1,000 CZK / week (payment in cash on-site). We recommend packing two small snacks for your child each day.
•Schedule: The program runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can drop off your children starting at 8:30 AM and pick them up by 5:30 PM.
•Language: The entire program is conducted in English. The level is adapted to the children, and a Czech and Ukrainian-speaking coordinator is available if needed.
