A basic course of Czech at A1 level that helps learners develop basic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills by focusing on simple situations from everyday life. This makes learning Czech for beginners effective and adaptable.
- Grammar and vocabulary: Students learn basic words and simple grammatical structures. Learning Czech from scratch includes building vocabulary and understanding basic grammar rules.
- Communication skills: In this course, students learn to use basic phrases for introductions, greetings and simple conversation. Czech for Beginners helps you to carry on simple dialogues and express your needs in everyday situations.
- Reading and writing: Students learn to read and write simple words and sentences, moving on to short texts and more complex sentences. Czech for Beginners covers the key skills of reading and writing.
- Cultural aspects: The course introduces learners to the main cultural aspects of the Czech Republic, as well as simple traditions and customs of the country, making the basics of the Czech language understandable and interesting.
This beginner’s Czech course is a great starting point for those who want to lay a solid foundation for further study at higher levels.

The A2 Czech language course is designed for students who already have basic knowledge of Czech and are looking to improve their skills at beginner and intermediate levels.
Main features of the course:
- Level of language proficiency: Development of communication skills at basic and intermediate levels.
- Grammar and vocabulary: Deepening understanding of grammatical rules and expanding vocabulary.
- Communication skills: Practice in a variety of everyday situations and the ability to hold simple discussions.
- Reading and writing: Develop skills in reading simple texts and writing short messages.
Cultural aspects: Introduction to Czech culture, traditions and cultural events. - Summative assessment: Assessment to gauge progress and readiness for advanced levels of study.

The B1 level Czech course is designed for students who are already confident in the basics of Czech at A2 level and are looking to improve their language skills to an intermediate level.

- Communication skills: Practice in a variety of everyday scenarios and actively participate in discussions.

- Cultural aspects: Immersion in Czech culture, literature and traditions.

Entrance test
After our meeting, you will need to take the questionnaire to the Úrad práce at your place of registration and register as a uchazeč o zaměstnání (if you are looking for a job or are on parental leave) or zájemce (if you are already employed but want to improve your Czech for better career opportunities).

All foreigners with any type of visa in the Czech Republic who have a work permit.
Yes, you can. You will only need confirmation from your employer.
Yes, the course itself is absolutely free. However, we charge an administrative fee of CZK 300 for assistance in filling in all the documents for Úřadu práce and support throughout the process. The workbook is also free of charge and remains with you after the course.
Register with Úřadu práce and stay registered for another month after graduation. Attendance at 80% of classes is also required. At the end of the course, you will need to take a final test to receive a certificate. And then bring the certificate to Úřadu práce as proof of successful completion of the course.
If you have reasons why you cannot start studying immediately, we recommend that you apply for courses as soon as possible and, with the approval of Úřadu práce, choose a course that suits your time.
The courses are held only in Prague, in our new premises at Kolbenova 38a Praha 9, next to the Kolbenova metro station.
The programme of free courses is currently only available offline in Prague. However, we know how important it is to master Czech in order to be successful in a new country, so we have created low-cost online courses for different levels. At the office, take the test (if you do not have a Czech language certificate) and fill in the documents.
Take the documents to the Úřadu práce of your Prague district.
Wait up to 30 days for the decision of the Úřadu práce.
In case of a positive decision, you will receive an email from us with all the details of your course.Upon completion of the course, take your certificate to the Úřadu práce.
