The first semester is designed for beginners and covers A1 and A2 levels of Czech. It offers a gradual and systematic mastery of the basic skills needed to communicate effectively in Czech.

Level A1:

• Basic communicative skills: The course is designed for those who are just starting to learn Czech. Participants will learn the necessary phrases and vocabulary for everyday situations such as greetings, shopping, city orientation and simple communication.
• Practical Communication: Participants will practise expressing their thoughts and understanding simple sentences in common situations.
  Grammar basics: The course gradually introduces the basic elements of Czech grammar, including declension rules, tenses and word order.
• Reading and Writing: Students will master reading and writing at a basic level, including understanding short texts and writing simple sentences and messages.
• Cultural Aspects: Classes include discussion of Czech customs, traditions and social norms, which helps to better understand the context of the language.
• Interactive learning: The course includes interactive assignments, games and conversations that encourage active participation in the learning process.
• Audio and video materials: The course uses multimedia materials to help you improve your understanding of spoken Czech and accent.
• Individual and group work: The combination of individual exercises and group assignments creates a varied learning environment and supports mutual assistance between participants.

Level A2:

• Conversation skills: Expand your ability to communicate in simple situations such as introductions, shopping, ordering food and other everyday situations.
• Vocabulary development: Build up your vocabulary with common expressions and words related to everyday life.
• Grammar Basics: Familiarise yourself with basic grammatical structures including verbs, nouns, adjectives and simple sentences.
• Reading and Writing: Work with short texts and simple sentences to master the basics of writing and reading.
• Grammar in Context: Grammar rules will be presented in the context of practical situations to help you understand and remember them better.
• Communication in Everyday Situations: Learn to communicate in everyday situations such as going to restaurants, shopping, travelling and other activities.
• Interactive Activities: Participate in interactive tasks and games that increase engagement and participation.
• Listening and speaking: Practise listening to authentic recordings and participating in conversations to improve your listening comprehension and expression.
• Personalised support: The course offers the opportunity for individual support and remediation from the teacher to help improve skills.

The second semester is designed for students who are already confident in Czech at A2 level and want to improve their skills to upper-intermediate (B1) and advanced (B2) levels.

B1 level:

• Language Proficiency: Development of communicative skills from basic to advanced level.
• Grammar and Vocabulary: In-depth study of complex grammatical structures and expansion of active vocabulary.
• Communication practice: Participate in discussions and practice various everyday scenarios.
• Reading and Writing: Improved skills in reading complex texts and writing structured messages.
• Cultural immersion: Exploring Czech culture, literature and traditions for a deeper understanding of the language context.

Level B2

• In-depth study of grammar and vocabulary: In-depth study of complex grammatical constructions and active work on expanding active and passive vocabulary.
• Intensive practice in speaking and writing: Participate in argumentative statements, discussions and presentations in Czech.
• Mastering professional vocabulary and business communication: Classes focus on the use of Czech in the work environment, helping you to communicate effectively with colleagues and partners.
