About the Program and the Instructor
This program is designed as a week-long journey of discovery, where English becomes the key to exploring the world, stories, and one’s creativity. Children won’t just learn the language; they will actively use it in games, discussions, trips, and creative activities. We will explore old Prague legends, visit the ZOO, and learn to present our ideas. The goal is for children to fall in love with English and gain the confidence to use it in everyday situations.
Instructor Takahiro Yoshigahara will lead the program. Takahiro has extensive teaching experience, and thanks to his background in psychology and English literature, he can create a unique environment where learning becomes fun. His friendly and supportive approach helps children overcome shyness and fully develop their potential. As an experienced educator, he knows how to engage and inspire children.
Age Categories
6–15 years (the program is adapted and divided into groups: 6–8 years, 9–12 years, and 13–15 years)
Location
ICJ Campus, Kolbenova, Prague (the program also includes themed excursions around Prague)
Program
Each day, we will focus on a different theme that will draw children into the world of English naturally and playfully.
Sample Weekly Structure:
•Monday: Getting to know each other!
A day full of interactive games and activities where we will learn basic vocabulary and phrases. We will share our interests and break the ice.
•Tuesday: The Secrets of Old Prague
We will dive into the world of Prague legends. Using videos and storytelling, we will discover the story of the Golem and the Charles Bridge, and then try to artistically represent a chosen legend ourselves.
•Wednesday: Trip to the ZOO
An adventurous trip to the Prague ZOO awaits us. Everyone will choose their favorite animal and learn to describe it in English. After returning, we will compete in team games.
•Thursday: A Day of Creativity and Presentations
Children will prepare a short presentation about their favorite book, song, or picture. We will paint, sing, and build confidence in speaking in front of others.
•Friday: The World Around Us and Our Dreams
We will talk about what we enjoy, our dreams, and what we want to be. Using a map, we will explore the world, and at the end, everyone will create their own “dreamscape.”
Important Information
•Price: 2,500 CZK / week / child.
•The price includes: English instruction, all teaching materials, program activities, trips, supervision by coordinators, and drinks.
•The price does not include: Meals and public transport tickets.
•Meals: It is possible to purchase lunches for 1,000 CZK / week (payment in cash on-site). We recommend packing two small snacks for your child each day.
•Schedule: The program runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You can drop off your children starting at 8:30 AM and pick them up by 5:30 PM.
•Language: The entire program is conducted in English. The level is adapted to the children, and a Czech and Ukrainian-speaking coordinator is available if needed.
